It is likely to help many find some chords. Virtually any such site could improve and you would never please everyone.
I will try to visit the site about one time per week to check out the forum and contribute. Over 25 years ago I wrote a computer program to name chords according to the notes you were playing. The program was written in BASIC not even QBASIC. I am in the process of upgrading the program, hopefully into Visual Basic. I am also working on a "music theory" book. It has a lot of work yet to be done, before that is ready.
I mainly play fingerstyle guitar and more in the folk music styles. I am interested in the way a site like this works from the interactive point of view.
Chord charts are one level of help and a good start. The BEST sounding chord - is the one you like the best at that moment.
