What type of music do you play at the moment and what do you want to move on to?

| The greats are still Clapton, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Winter. If you're into more radical styles then check out Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen. Jazz greats George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Kenny Burrell. Go back to the basics and invent some new licks. Play your favorite licks backwards or upside down. Use half steps as passing tones. Tapping can be fun if it's not overdone. Taste in any style is always better than lighting speed. Chuck Berry and BB King still can bring an audience to their feet even though both paly primative licks at best. It's not about showing up the other guitar players, it is about capturing your audience. Play to your fans not musicians. | ||
