I think that you should be able to put flats. For instance say you're in the key of Fmajor, you have one flat chord (Bflat) but you can't put the chord progression F, Bb, Em, Am, because obviously there's no flats so you'd have to put a sharp (A# = Bb) which is theoretically incorrect because you can't have one natural note (A) and it's sharp (A#) in the same scale... You should also post music theory, because I can see alot of people on here who don't know scales and that's a key point in learning what sounds good with what. Say your in the key of F#m and your chord progression is F#m, D, A, E, you're not going to play a G because that wouldn't sound good because G isn't in the same key as F#m, but someone who doesn't know theory couldn't possibly know that...
If anyone has any questions on what sounds good with what and what doesn't please e-mail me... (regan562@gmail.com)

The ability to 'choose a tuning' first and then to have all the chords for that tuning searchable as they are now for Standard Tuning.

A Tunings List can be found over at:

Hi, i think the site is a wonderful idea. I also use the old guitar pro programme which gives lots of chords and alternative names, so Im covered with respect to the questions here with regard to sequencing of chords and sounds.  I do have a question though: I tried searching for a F7/A chord and its not there.  Am I entering the name incorrectly?

I would like to be able to make custom chords to add to my chord sheets and also print out the chords I want in order in a row even if there are duplicates

Two simple ones:

- Edit/rename sheet name if you make a typo.
- Enter all chords for a song in search separated by commas, so we don't need to keep searching and adding multiple times
