| Just getting back to playing after 30 years. I have some hand issues. My left index finger does not bend at the first joint, or fingertip. Works great with barred chords, but cannot push down individual strings. Some chords, like G, I use my thumb and middle finger. | ||

| Hey adaptolife, just a suggestion, the 'G' chord can be played by placing you 3rd finger on the 6th string, using it also to mute the 5th string and placing your pinky on the 1st string. You're still playing a 'B' note so in fact you are still playing the chord correctly. Also you can play most of the open chords such as 'E' 'C' 'D' and so on by using your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fingers. I play most chords with my last 3 fingers as I am usually using my first finger to form an abstract chord of a type. Good luck | ||
